JOHANNESBURG - Deputy President Paul Mashatile is set to commemorate the 30th anniversary of South Africa's democracy with a special public lecture on Tuesday, 9 April 2024. The event will take place at the University of Johannesburg, highlighting the significant milestones achieved since the country's transition to democracy in 1994.

According to South African Government News Agency, the lecture is organized by the University of Johannesburg's School of Public Management, Governance, and Public Policy, in collaboration with the College of Business and Economics. The University, known for its commitment to becoming an international institution of choice with strong roots in Africa, will host the Deputy President at its Auckland Park campus for this significant occasion.

The focus of the public lecture will be to inspire the youth of South Africa to envision and strive for a prosperous future.
