Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The government of Guinea has launched an ambitious initiative to secure funding for its Interim Reference Program (PRI), with a donor roundtable that kicked off on February 15 in the United Arab Emirates. Chaired by Prime Minister Bernard Goumou, the event aimed to mobilize a staggering $16.6 billion in support of 64 identified projects critical to the nation's development. Of the total, $2.1 billion is being specifically sought for 21 key projects. This fundraising effort is aligned with Guinea's strategic roadmap for the period of 2022-2025, highlighting the government's commitment to accelerating economic growth and development through substantial investment in infrastructure and various sectors.

According to Africa News Agency, the PRI encompasses a wide array of initiatives designed to foster sustainable development, enhance public services, and improve the quality of life for the Guinean population. The targeted investment will support a comprehensive approach to addressing Guinea's developmental challenges, paving the way for enhanced stability, prosperity, and progress in the coming years.
