POLOKWANE - The Tshamutumbu police in Vhembe district have initiated a manhunt following the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy at a local restaurant in Madimbo village on Sunday, 07 July 2024. The incident, which occurred around 02:00, led to the teen's death from a stab wound to the upper body.

According to South African Police Service, the assailant fled the scene immediately after the attack, leaving the victim in a critical condition that ultimately proved fatal. The motive for the stabbing is still under investigation, and local authorities have opened a case of murder.
