New Jersey on Sunday reported another three COVID-19 deaths and 24,710 confirmed positive cases, which despite breaking a streak of record-high days, coincided with the highest seven-day case average ever recorded and another increase in hospitalizations. The number of cases reported Sunday represents a decrease of approximately 17% from the high reported Saturday, but the state’s seven-day case average still increased to 21,734, the highest ever recorded.
