Windhoek - Namibia has secured $138.5 million in funding from the World Bank for its first major energy project. The project, led by NamPower, is designed to enhance the country's transmission network and increase the integration of renewable energy sources.

According to Africa News Agency, the investment is part of a broader strategy to bolster Namibia's energy infrastructure while emphasizing sustainability and reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources.
