ADDIS ABABA - The Prosperity Party Central Committee has officially bid farewell to Vice President Demeke Mekonnen, adhering to the party’s leadership succession principles. The decision was made unanimously at the end of the committee’s meeting today, marking a significant transition within the party's leadership structure.

According to Ethiopian News Agency, an executive committee member of the Prosperity Party, has been elected as the new vice president of the party following a majority vote. This change comes as part of the Prosperity Party's ongoing efforts to refresh its leadership and ensure the party's principles and goals are continuously upheld and advanced.

The farewell to Demeke Mekonnen was described as honorable, reflecting his contributions to the party and the country during his tenure.
