Rössing Foundation Enhances Learning at Oshela Secondary School with Significant Book Donation

OKONGO, Namibia – The Rössing Foundation has made a substantial contribution to the educational resources of Oshela Secondary School in the Ohangwena Region by donating 1,415 textbooks and various learning materials.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the donation took place on Friday and included textbooks covering mathematics, sciences, business studies, and entrepreneurship. Additionally, teaching and learning aids like an overhead projector, maths sets, and calculators were provided, with the total value of the donation amounting to N$295,000.

Uusiku highlighted the Rössing Foundation's commitment to continuing its collaboration with the government and other partners to reduce the textbook-to-learner ratio and enhance the quality of education in Namibia. "Our goal is to create a future where every learner in Namibian schools has access to the necessary learning tools for their success," he remarked.

Further emphasizing the importance of education as a pillar of societal development, Uusiku noted that the responsibility for education extends beyond the government and the Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture. He affirmed that the Rössing Foundation recognizes this responsibility and is dedicated to improving education in Namibia, particularly in the Ohangwena Region.

The donation by the Rössing Foundation is a significant step towards enriching the educational environment at Oshela Secondary School, ensuring that students have better access to essential learning materials.
